Lough Key House is a small but beautiful 200 year old Georgian Period house B&B in Boyle, Co. Roscommon, Ireland. It is run by Frances McDonagh who offers it's three best bedrooms to warmly welcome guests. It is the perfect place from which to tour the North West.

All rooms are individually decorated and furnished with period furniture, and each has it's own luxurious bathroom with separate bath and power shower.

Breakfast is a generous buffet of homemade bread and preserves, seasonal fresh and stewed fruits (we grow our own; plums, pears, rhubarb, apples and soft fruits), organic cereals and yoghurt, as well as the traditional Irish. Eggs are enthusiastically laid by our hens and Frances uses them to make fresh herb omelettes and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, as well as poaching and frenetically boiling them!
Tea and home baking are served on arrival in the sitting room where a bright open fire welcomes guests, who may relax here with lots of books, board games, flat screen TV, and a piano. A laptop with wireless access sits on the writing desk.

Guests may help themselves to tea, herbal teas, and coffee at all times in the dining room.
